Reefer Socket
Overview
The IP Brand Reefer Socket Outlet is a tough, long lasting and durable socket outlet designed for use in Refrigerated Container Yards, and is tested to IP66. It is constructed from a choice of either Marine Aluminium Alloy or Stainless Steel designed to weather the rigours of port operations. Careful combination of coating and paint are used to combat corrosion and harsh weather effects while clever design features ensures a low maintenance, low replacement rate product that greatly reduces the risk of burning, melting, and electrical hazards to personnel and surrounding port structures. The sockets come in 1, 2, 3 & 4 gang configurations.
Among the key features & safety points of the Infinite Power reefer sockets are:
- Mechanically interlocked to prevent making or breaking during loading.
- Optional Pilot Indicating Lamp
- High quality marine plastics to eliminate the risk of melting, burning and easy breakages.
- The plastics used to construct the Flange Covers, Flange, Handles have been proven in the field to not crack or become brittle after over 10 years of port operations.
- Easy plug insertion for ease of plugging and unplugging, while reducing risks of sparking due the lack of force required to plug and unplug.
- Non-Interchangeable contacts. Earth at 3 o’clock, Key Way at 6 o’clock.
- Socket casing treated with Marine paint and ED Coated to protect against corrosion, while being eco friendly.
- The socket casing is weather resistant, and is tested to IP66.
- Conforms to BS4343M C.E.E. 17, IEC 309-2 standards.
